Clinic Times: Monday to Friday:
We provide health checks and all chronic disease management (including asthma, CVD, diabetic), immunizations, childhood immunisations, holiday vaccination/advice (charges may be applicable), cervical smears, family planning, ear syringing, dietary advice, smoking cessation.
Alison is fully trained to carry out blood and hearing tests, assist with the diabetic clinics and administer flu vaccinations.
Healthcare assistants carry out, blood testing, INR blood monitoring, hearing tests, blood pressure checks, weight checks, ECGs and sleep apnoea monitoring, spirometry, B12 injections and chaperoning.
Clinic times: Monday to Friday - 08:30 to 12:30 and 15:00 to 17:30.
The practice managers are involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice managers support the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

The nurses are based at Doddington Hospital and are available for all care in the community. Please ring 08449310045 for DN advice or leave a message on their answerphone and they will return the call.
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
Our HV, Mary Riotto can be contacted on 01354 644368. She provides support and advice to parents of pre-school children including all health checks and has a health promotion role with all age groups. She sees all new births after the 10th day in the home.
Debbie Marshall has a clinic at Rainbow every Tuesday morning with prebookable appointments followed by a drop in clinic. Please phone the surgery if you would like to make an appointment with Debbie.
